MMMS Adopt a Street

MMMS Adopt-A-Street:

Mike Moses Middle School Student Council members volunteered to start an Adopt-A-Street program, partnering with the City of Nacogdoches, to keep a section of our streets free from litter. MMMS STUCO has selected Park Street as their first endeavor. This organization has selected this volunteer service to show dedication of their time to actively make a difference and keep Texas beautiful.

Fourteen middle school students (6th-8th grade) showed up early on a very cold Saturday morning, December 10th, to walk both sides of Park Street, picking up litter along the roadside. Mike Moses Middle School Student Council members would like to say a big “thank you” to the City of Nacogdoches Public Works Department for donating safety vests for our students to wear, as well as trash bags for collection of the litter.
